Quick Summary
Both the OBSBOT Meet 2 and Insta360 Link 2C are 4K webcams with very similar optics and image quality.
The Meet 2 has a smaller build that’s more convenient for swapping from landscape to portrait mode and vice versa. It also has slightly more natural skin tone color accuracy. The Link 2C has superior sharpness and its privacy shutter is under the lens as opposed to the magnetic privacy cap on the Meet 2.

Image Quality
Full automatic settings, daylight only.
Manual settings with studio lighting.
This is an extremely neck and neck comparison. The differences between these two webcams are very few considering they both have 1/2 inch sensors with the same FOV. They both work well with automatic settings in daylight only or manual with studio lighting.
In my use case, the Meet 2 was able to reproduce my skin tone just a bit better than the Link 2C. Conversely, the Link 2C is sharper. It also has more contrast out the box. Both devices have HDR, but neither are really strong enough to be worth bothering with most of the time.
Nothing at this price range compares to either the Meet 2 or the Insta360 Link 2C. Get the former for the slightly better colors or the latter for a sharper image.

Software
Insta360 Link Controller software
OBSBOT Center software
Nothing to complain about from either the Insta360 Link Controller or OBSBOT Center software. You can control all the basic settings of each webcam and also toggle HDR on or off. I’d give the software edge to the Meet 2 because it doesn’t actually need the software to be used in portrait mode - you just rotate the camera itself.
The Link 2C requires portrait mode to be toggled on in the software and good luck mounting it vertically. Additionally, 1080p 60 FPS requires the software to unlock it first unlike the Meet 2 where it’s available out the box.
Build
Both webcams are made mostly of plastic, but they come with magnetic monitor mounts. Removing the monitor mount reveals 1/4 inch tripod threading on the bottom of the Meet 2, and the threading is on the bottom of the monitor mount itself on the Link 2C. Both have 60 inch USB-C to USB-C cables with USB-C to A adapters in the box.
The main advantage of the Link 2C’s build is it has a privacy shutter underneath the lens that can be controlled with a switch on the left of the device. The Meet 2 comes with a magnetic cover that’s very easy to lose.
The Meet 2’s advantage is it can be used in portrait mode easier since the sides are also magnetic. Placing the camera in a vertical orientation automatically forces the device to output vertical video.
Verdict
These two webcams are very evenly matched, but I ultimately recommend the OBSBOT Meet 2. It had slightly better color accuracy during my testing and since vertical video is so important these days, being able to easily record in that format is incredibly useful.
If you don’t care about vertical content and want a sharper image and built in privacy shutter, go with the Insta360 Link 2C.
